ASTROS GOLF FOUNDATION 50/50 RAFFLE OFFICIAL RULES
Official Rules
Description of the Raffle: The Astros Golf Foundation 50/50 Raffle ("Raffle") is a charity raffle benefitting The Astros Golf Foundation (“Foundation”), which seeks to serve the community and people of Houston, with a focus on charitable fundraising, park improvements, and investment in youth programs. The Raffle consists of (i) daily prize drawings conducted Thursday through Sunday of the 2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open tournament (“Tournament”), and one final 50/50 raffle drawing conducted on Sunday. The Raffle constitutes a single continuous charitable raffle event. Daily prize drawings are promotional awards ancillary to the Raffle and do not constitute separate raffles under Texas law. All drawings are subject to these Official Rules.
Agreement to Participate: Each and every person who purchases a Raffle ticket (“Ticket”) is an "Entrant" and is subject to, and agrees to be bound by, these terms and conditions in their entirety (“Official Rules”) and the decisions of the Foundation. The Official Rules and the Foundation’s decisions shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the Raffle. The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state and local, and municipal laws and regulations. Some restrictions apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
Eligibility to Participate: The Raffle is open to all legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia that are age 18 or older as of the date of the entry. The Foundation and its representatives have the right to request photo identification from any person desiring to enter the Raffle. Employees, full-time, part-time, and seasonal, and their immediate family members, of the Foundation, Houston Astros, LLC, the PGA Tour and each of their respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, vendors, and each of their respective shareholders, employees, affiliates, representatives, agents, board members, and successors are not eligible to enter to participate the Raffle.
When to Enter: Tickets are available for purchase in-person only at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston ("Ballpark") at each day of the 2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open from the time the gates open to the public, to when the final player group tees off at hole 10.
How to Enter: An eligible person may enter the Raffle by purchasing 3 Tickets for $5.00, 10 Tickets for $10.00, 60 Tickets for $20.00, or 200 Tickets for $50.00 online at https://www.tchouopen.com/5050raffle while at Memorial Park Golf Course. No discounts or complimentary Tickets are provided. Tickets may only be purchased by debit card or credit card. Each Ticket is a receipt for Entrant's purchase and represents an entry for the Raffle Drawing occurring during the game in which the Ticket is purchased and is not eligible for any past or future Raffle Drawings. There is no limit to the number of Tickets an Entrant may purchase. All Ticket purchases are final; no refunds or replacements will be issued.
Drawings:
Daily Prize Drawings: One (1) daily prize winner will be randomly selected each day of the Tournament from Thursday through Sunday at approximately 4:00 PM Central Time, from among all eligible entries received between the start of the raffle and 4pm on the draw date. All numbers are re-entered into the draw for the chance to win any subsequent prizes, including the Final 50/50 Drawing.
Final 50/50 Drawing: One (1) final 50/50 raffle winner will be randomly selected at approximately 4:00 PM Central Time on Sunday, from among all eligible entries received during the entire Raffle period.
All drawings will be conducted by the Foundation, whose decisions are final and binding. Winners will be announced on the tournament website (https://www.tchouopen.com/5050raffle) and may be temporarily posted on the Foundation’s social media channels.
“Official Winner” means an Entrant whose Ticket is selected as a winner in a Daily Prize Drawing or the Final 50/50 Drawing, and who satisfies all eligibility and prize‑claiming requirements set forth in these Official Rules.
Claiming the Prize: Winners are not required to redeem prizes in person. To claim a prize, a winning Entrant must contact the Foundation by email at info@astrosgolf.com within 30 calendar days of the applicable drawing date (“Claims Period”) and provide any documentation or information reasonably requested by the Foundation, including proof of identification and tax information if applicable. Should the 30th calendar day fall on a Saturday, Sunday or recognized holiday, then the Claims Period shall be extended to the immediately following business day. Any transportation required for an Entrant to claim a Prize shall be the Entrant’s sole responsibility and will not be furnished by the Foundation.
The Foundation has no obligation to contact potential winners. Failure to complete the claims process within the Claims Period will result in forfeiture of the prize, which will then be retained by the Foundation for charitable use.
Prizes:
Daily Prizes: Each Daily Prize Drawing winner will receive one (1) Turtlebox Grande speaker, with an approximate retail value of $730. No cash substitutions permitted.
Final 50/50 Prize: The Final 50/50 Drawing winner will receive fifty percent (50%) of the net Raffle sales, less any applicable taxes, fees, or withholdings (“Final Prize”). The remaining proceeds will be retained by the Foundation to support its charitable mission.
Official Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with any prize.
The Final 50/50 Prize will be paid to the Official Winner of the Final 50/50 Prize by check within 30 business days after the date the Prize is claimed. A physical Ticket is the only valid receipt for claiming a Prize.
Odds: The odds of winning the Prize are 1/the total number of eligible entries received.
Raffle Tickets are Not Tax Deductible: The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries, or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.
IRS Reporting and Withholding: The Official Winner is subject to IRS rules and regulations regarding gambling winnings. If the Prize amount is $600.00 or more and at least 300 times the value of the Official Winner’s individual Winning Ticket, the Foundation must complete and file IRS Form W-2G. If the Prize amount is $5,000.00 or more, the Foundation must complete and file IRS Form W-2G and withhold federal income tax of 24% from the Official Winner’s proceeds. If the Prize amount is $600.00 or more and at least 300 times the value of the Official Winner’s individual Winning Ticket, and if the Official Winner does not furnish a correct Taxpayer Identification Number, the Foundation must complete and file IRS Form W-2G and withhold federal income tax of 24% from the Official Winner’s proceeds. Official Winners who are nonresident aliens for tax purposes will be subject to all applicate withholding and reporting requirements. Official Winners may waive the right to receive a Prize, at which time the Prize from that Drawing date will be forfeited and proceeds will be reclaimed by the Foundation for charitable use.
Transfer of Raffle Ticket: Entrants may opt to give away their Tickets to another eligible person, but in doing so the Entrant waives any claim he/she might otherwise have to the Prize. Entrants may not re-sell their Tickets to other parties, and may not give Tickets away to another for the purpose of allowing those other parties to re-sell such Raffle Tickets. All Tickets which have been resold in violation of these Official Rules shall be void. All individuals who re-sell, purchase, or receive Tickets in violation of these Official Rules shall be ineligible to participate in the Raffle or to win a Prize. Transferred Prizes shall be bound by all the terms and conditions of these Official Rules.
Winner List: Names of daily prize winners and the final 50/50 raffle winner will be posted on an ongoing basis at https://www.tchouopen.com/5050raffle and may also be temporarily shared on the Foundation’s social media platforms.
Release of Liability: By entering into the Raffle, each Entrant agrees to: (a) be bound by these Official Rules; and (b) release, waive, discharge, covenant not to sue, and indemnify the Foundation, Houston Astros, LLC, PGA Tour, and their respective parent corporations, subsidiaries and affiliates, together with their owners, partners, employees, officers, directors, sponsors and agents, including advertising, sponsorship and promotion agencies (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability with respect to any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation or while preparing to participate in the Raffle.
Publicity Release: The Official Winner, by accepting his/her Prize, grants the Foundation and Foundation designees and affiliates, including Houston Astros, LLC and the PGA Tour full permission to use Official Winner's name, photograph, voice and/or likeness and Prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation and without notice, review or approval, in all media (including on the Internet) now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, in perpetuity.
Disclaimer: The Foundation, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or otherwise in violation of the Official Rules. The Foundation further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Raffle for any reason, including, but not limited to any Raffle that is not capable of completion as planned, infection by tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures of any sort, fraud, strike, lockout, labor disputes, or acts of God.
The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) Tickets which are lost, stolen, improperly issued, printed erroneously, counterfeited, illegible, given away, altered or subject to other deficiencies which may limit an Entrant's ability to participate in or win any Raffle; (2) Entries or payments that are delayed, misdirected, undelivered, not fully captured, or garbled in a ISP, website, computer, telephone, cable or satellite modem or connection, handheld mobile device or any other computer equipment or connection, whether or not caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by viruses, worms or malfunctions affecting network, server ISP or any equipment or programming used in or associated with the Raffle; (3) Any other errors of any kind, whether human, typographical, printing, mechanical, or electronic in nature which relates to the Raffle, including without limitations errors in Raffle related materials or in the administration of the Raffle, such as errors in processing Tickets, determining Official Winner, or announcing or delivering Prizes, or any portion of the Raffle that is compromised. In all foregoing circumstances, the Foundation reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify or terminate the Raffle. Released Parties make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any Prize and disclaim any implied warranty. Failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of this provision.
GOVERNING LAW: THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN CONFORMITY WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS (EXCLUSIVE OF CONFLICTS OF LAWS PRINCIPLES). EACH PARTY HEREBY EXPRESSLY WAIVES ANY AND ALL RIGHTS WHICH IT MAY HAVE TO MAKE ANY OBJECTIONS BASED ON JURISDICTION, VENUE, OR SUFFICIENCY OF PROCESS TO ANY SUIT BROUGHT TO ENFORCE THIS AGREEMENT IN HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS.
