Colby Callaway was hired by the Astros Golf Foundation in 2018.
Prior to becoming Tournament Director in Houston, Colby was an employee for 18 years with Pro Links Sports, a sports marketing firm specializing in PGA TOUR tournament management, full service corporate golf programs, corporate hospitality, and event consulting. During his tenure with Pro Links Sports he served as Operations Director for the SBC Championship in San Antonio (2000-2002), Sales and Marketing Director for the FedEx Kinko's Classic in Austin (2002-2004), and Tournament Director for the AT&T Championship presented by Alcatel-Lucent in San Antonio (2004-2015). In 2016 he founded and managed the Champions Charities Pro-Am (San Antonio, 2016-2017), benefitting Feherty's Troops First. At that same time, he also managed a corporate pro-am and hospitality program for Dell Technologies during the WGC Dell Technologies Match-Play event (2017-2018). Before being hired by Pro Links Sports, Colby worked in various roles within local and state government agencies in San Antonio and Austin (1996-2000).
Colby graduated high school from DeSmet Jesuit in St. Louis, Missouri in 1990. He attended Kansas University, originally on a baseball scholarship, and studied Political Science (1995). Colby and his wife Julie currently reside in Kingwood, Texas and are proud parents of two daughters, Kylie and Kate, and son, Caden. His hobbies include fishing, golf, and watching his children dance on stage and compete on various athletic courts and fields.
